[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign. [00:00:04] Speaker B: With Attitudes. Welcome, everyone, to another episode of Azeroth With Attitude. And in today's amazing spectacular, and some would say iconic episode, we are going to talk about how Art and I finally met up in person at TwitchCon Rotterdam. The sickening, maybe sickening new patch that's going to be coming to World of Warcraft and the actual sickening state of play that PlayStation just announced. A whole suite of games that truly has us gagged, gooped and ready to intro cold slack. [00:00:46] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. [00:00:50] Speaker B: My name is 8bit Dylan and this is Art. [00:00:54] Speaker A: Hi, everybody. We're back. Well, we've not been gone, but it feels like we're back because so much happened. [00:01:01] Speaker B: I know I got a better camera quality, which is crazy. We, period. [00:01:06] Speaker A: Let's look it up for the camera. [00:01:09] Speaker B: We also finally, finally. [00:01:11] Speaker A: Don't have a blur filter on yourself. [00:01:13] Speaker B: I know. I was giving season one filter and [00:01:16] Speaker A: literally now I'm giving season seven All Stars. [00:01:20] Speaker B: All Stars, mama. I am just so excited to get into TwitchCon Rotterdam. Truly, we could dedicate the whole episode to TwitchCon Rotterdam because absolutely, yeah. We learned something very important about ourselves, y'. [00:01:35] Speaker A: All. [00:01:35] Speaker B: We learned we are truly the two stupidest humans that have ever existed. And when you put two of the dumbest people on planet Earth together in the same room, nothing can be stopped. [00:01:49] Speaker A: But I do have to say, like, I'm very stupid on the Internet, right? But I'm very, like, I would say, not as crazy irl like I. I will like in public. I'm like, a little more like, put together. However, you bring the worst out of me. Which I do appreciate. Which I do appreciate. I think it is truly like a cultural thing because you're just like American and crazy and I'm like, European, which is why I'm more like, you know, a little bit aware of my surround. Yeah, you're just like, here's me. [00:02:21] Speaker B: Literally. It's so funny how I don't think Art was prepared for how I am not afraid of social anxiety at all. [00:02:31] Speaker A: I said the chat. I told my child. I was like, so I have social anxiety when it comes to filming in public. Yeah, but social anxiety fears you. [00:02:40] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:02:41] Speaker A: No, it's the other way around. Like crazy. [00:02:44] Speaker B: I think it's. I think it comes from so a little bit of Lauren. Dylan, for those who don't know, I used to be managed by Disney back in the day and they would constantly have me, like, host different things on stage for different cons, like PAX or, I don't know, E3, etc, and you would be Doing stupid stuff on stage to truly thousands of people watching. So I just kind of got over it where it's like, all right, guess I'm embarrass embarrassing myself right now. And art learned how embarrassing I can truly be. I have to. I have to tell a specific situation. So at TwitchCon Rotterdam, there is this massive Minecraft arena. [00:03:32] Speaker A: I'm looking for the picture right now. [00:03:34] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, massive Minecraft arena. And of course there's like photo ops everywhere. One of the photo ops is, you know, like, when you die in Minecraft, all of your items kind of fling from your body and you're just kind of sitting there. So for me, I was like, oh, I'll lay in the middle of this and take a very classy, very brand forward, family friendly photo while no one's watching. Please present to the audience and explain to me what I did. [00:04:05] Speaker A: I. He's like, hey, can you take a picture of. I think I even asked you, hey, do you want a picture? And you were like, yeah. And she goes, there. There's other people watching us, right? Because there's other people queuing to take a picture. She stands there and I'm like, okay, get the phone out. She does this. [00:04:22] Speaker B: Explain to the audience what I'm doing. [00:04:24] Speaker A: Oh, right. For my audio listeners, she rolls on the floor and starts like sexy poses and then she turns around on all, like on her. On her back, flings her legs up in the air as if she's ready to get. [00:04:41] Speaker B: As if she is. As if she is ready to win Minecraft. [00:04:45] Speaker A: Yes. Without face. Wait, why was that kind of like a goon face? Yeah, yeah. So that was crazy. And I stood there like a mother embarrassed for her child, but it also made me laugh. [00:05:03] Speaker B: No, it was. It was really funny because I could tell you were very embarrassed. And then later on, there was another photo op with this giant Lego chicken. And there I wanted to be way worse than the Lego chicken, but the actual staff were there and I was like, well, I don't want to get kicked out of here. [00:05:19] Speaker A: So, yeah, yeah, yeah, I took off my girl. [00:05:23] Speaker B: So I did take off my jacket and start gyrating on top. No, I'm kidding. I took off my jacket and started swinging it around my head. [00:05:29] Speaker A: You did ride the chicken. [00:05:31] Speaker B: I mean, it. [00:05:32] Speaker A: That's. [00:05:32] Speaker B: It was. You were supposed to ride the chicken. That was the whole. [00:05:34] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, but sure. [00:05:36] Speaker B: I was swinging my jacket around, much like a cowboy trying to ride a bull. And then I took a really cutesy photo with the Lego chicken because I [00:05:46] Speaker A: was like, they were like, send you these pictures, by the way. Do you have these pictures? [00:05:49] Speaker B: I don't. [00:05:50] Speaker A: Well, I will send them to you so you'll be reminded. [00:05:53] Speaker B: Oh, God. But it was so much fun seeing this, like, massive Minecraft arena. It was like, crazy. Crazy. If you've ever played Minecraft, it really felt like you were like walking through the game, which I thought was crazy. [00:06:08] Speaker A: Yeah, I've never played Minecraft. It inspired me to be like, whoa, maybe I should finally try this out. It looks really, really cool. And also, people are just obsessed with that game. Like, like, I would say truly, 90% of TwitchCon were Minecrafters. [00:06:24] Speaker B: No, it was basically Minecon. That's basically what Twitter was. [00:06:27] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Kind of. Yeah, yeah, no, but I still had a really, really good time. I loved it. You know, like, me and Dylan have known each other now for like a little bit longer than half a year, I guess. [00:06:40] Speaker B: Yeah, like seven months. And [00:06:44] Speaker A: we like. Yeah, we have like great chemistry in the pod, but we didn't really have that much time in these six months to like hang out besides the pod because we're just so busy we can barely find a slot if we like record this sometimes. [00:06:56] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:06:57] Speaker A: Um, and obviously the time with the time zone difference right now, it's like 8am for her, it's. She wakes up early to does this. [00:07:05] Speaker B: Yeah, it's 7:00am 7:58. But yeah, eight. Eight, yeah. [00:07:09] Speaker A: Crazy. Crazy. Okay. So like, just to paint you the picture of how hard it is to actually do this, so we don't really get to hang out that much. Like recently we've done some stuff together on stream, which is super, super fun. So obviously you're like a part of me was like, okay, what is it going to be like in person? But girl, like, literally five minutes passed and it was like we've been hanging out for like 100 times already, like this, which is crazy. We were laughing so, so, so much. That was truly. Not like you were so easy to like live with in the hotel too. Like, it genuinely. There was zero things that like. Like that like went wrong or anything. It was just like, so chill. It's like we've known each other for such a long time. [00:07:49] Speaker B: Yeah, it was kind of crazy because I was sitting here like we were like kikiing in the hotel room. So for those who don't know, Art stayed with me while we were in TwitchCon Rotterdam. So we got this like iffy hotel. This iffy hotel with no ac. It was crazy hot sauna. [00:08:07] Speaker A: Fucking asshole. Tell. [00:08:10] Speaker B: We were. Listen I know that there is a listener out there that was like, I just want to sniff of that room. I just. I just. Because we were sweaty and gross in that room. So we had these tiny little twin beds and we, like, separated it out. Art was closer to the window. And we had one little fan, and that's all. One little fan in a dream to, like, keep us cool. [00:08:37] Speaker A: And, girl, that fan was working overtime. I don't think we turned her off once through three days. She was working three days without a break because there was no air circulation in the room. So even if you open the window and the air was cold outside, the air couldn't come in. [00:08:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:08:54] Speaker A: So we literally had the fan at the window to just blow the air inside the room. And she kept doing that for three days. [00:09:00] Speaker B: And you know what? She deserves an award for that, because she does. I think without that fan, we would have died in that room. [00:09:07] Speaker A: We would have absolutely fucking died. Absolutely. [00:09:10] Speaker B: There was like a massive heat wave going, going through Europe. And so it was in Amsterdam at the time and it was kicking our ass. It was crazy because it gets way hotter here in Texas. But I forget the luxuries of ac, air circulation, and just human decency. So when I. [00:09:32] Speaker A: Human decency. [00:09:33] Speaker B: Did I say that? Did I slip that through? I love the Dutch people. I. They are so nice and kind and weren't mean at all on the trip. Um, last. [00:09:48] Speaker A: That was a crazy thing to say. [00:09:51] Speaker B: Okay, I will say on record, listen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, y' all are lovely. What was in the water? Cuz everyone was rude. I felt like. [00:10:06] Speaker A: I. I do agree that they're different also than Austrian people. They're way more direct. They're not like, smiley or anything, but also like, I feel like to them it isn't being rude. So obviously, I think we're just culturally used to something different. You're used to Americans that are like, hey, how are you? And I'm also like, is your pretty. Like, why are you asking me how I am? You don't actually care, you know? Yeah. So there's like, Americans, which is like mega, mega, mega friendly. But also like, is it really friendly? You know, like, are you guys really being friendly? Or is it just like something that culturally. Just like, everyone does? [00:10:41] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:10:42] Speaker A: And Dutch people are just like, no fucks. They're like, what do you want? Oh, you want drinks? Is that why you're here? Yeah, yeah. I sat down at your restaurant. What do you think I want? Like, the service staff was actually so horrible. [00:10:57] Speaker B: Girl. [00:10:58] Speaker A: Like, that. That cannot be a cultural Thing that can just be a thing that. Where I'm like. Like, it's genuinely. Every single place that we've been to, even, like, that coffee shop even, they're like. They just, like, seem annoyed at you ordering stuff. And it's just like, should I not be here? You know? [00:11:17] Speaker B: That's what I'm talking about. Like, I felt like every business we went into, there was this vibe of, hurry the fuck up, get the hell out, and I don't want to serve you. And I'm like, oh, my God. [00:11:29] Speaker A: Definitely. Definitely. I mean, the. The staff at TwitchCon was super, super sweet, super nice. Yeah. But the. The restaurant stuff specifically also, like, getting a waiter to come to your table to finally order was a challenge. Girl, getting her. [00:11:43] Speaker B: Let's wake up that cafe. Let's wake the fuck up that cafe. [00:11:46] Speaker A: Yeah. The first day we met, we met. We ended up going for, like. We were like, okay, let's go for a quick dinner before we go to TwitchCon, which, thank God we did that because you know about the rumor about. [00:11:56] Speaker B: We'll talk about it. [00:11:58] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. So we were there and Dylan was like, oh, yeah, we should go there. It was, like, decent, the food. Like, I went there another day. I was like, okay, okay, cool. It was fine. But getting that waitress to order was like playing a mini game. She would literally, like, we would be like. And she would be like. She would, like, dodge. [00:12:15] Speaker B: She literally would dodge. [00:12:17] Speaker A: She would be like, you know, she would press X to do, like, a roll, you know, like, she was dodging, like, every time. [00:12:23] Speaker B: My favorite was she would hide behind the pillar. Like, there was, like, a pillar that was immediately, like, obstructing her view. And I would see her walk, but then not walk past the pillar. So homegirl was just, like, chilling behind a pillar, not wanting to. Not wanting to interact with any of her tables. [00:12:40] Speaker A: You want to order? Not my problem. [00:12:43] Speaker B: We legitimately waited. I think it was 20 minutes for a waiter to finally come to our table. When we sat down, it then took us another, like, 15 to 20 minutes just to order food. We finally got our food. The food was good. And then it took us, like, another probably 20 minutes to get the check because the. [00:13:02] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, the check was even worse. Yeah, I think the check was even worse. [00:13:05] Speaker B: She did not want to come to our table at all. To the point where I almost got up and was, like, going to. Actually, I did. I did get up, didn't I, at one point to try to find her. [00:13:15] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [00:13:16] Speaker B: She was hiding in the restaurant. Couldn't find Her. [00:13:20] Speaker A: We didn't told other waiters that then would tell her to finally come to our table. Honestly, girl, just a little. Just. That was definitely crazy that you cannot tell me that that's a cultural difference. Like Dutch people. Not being like the most smiley people to you is fine to me because I'm European. But the service in the restaurants. His ass. [00:13:40] Speaker B: Can we talk about. [00:13:42] Speaker A: Sue me. [00:13:43] Speaker B: Can we talk about the dinner of it all? [00:13:48] Speaker A: Wait, should we. Should we get into that now? Should we get into that later once we get there? No, we can get into that now though, since we're on the topic. [00:13:54] Speaker B: I think we're on the topic. Okay. [00:13:56] Speaker A: Yeah, Yeah. I think we should paint the picture. [00:13:58] Speaker B: I will paint the picture. So Roblox invited Art and I. I was there on behalf of Roblox as well as several other Roblox content creators and a few non endemics including Sinobeats. [00:14:10] Speaker A: All very sweet. All very, very sweet. Amazing people. [00:14:14] Speaker B: Truly. Like, shout out to Jackery is a huge World of Warcraft fan. Maybe we'll invite him someday to the pod. Like he is such a sweet. [00:14:20] Speaker A: Yeah, so he's an absolute fave. [00:14:24] Speaker B: We were the same as Sam Seno. Like, honestly. So, yeah, we were sitting at this restaurant and we had booked like the highest tier service you could get at this restaurant. It was like. [00:14:36] Speaker A: Wait, you do have to remember and mention that we spent the whole day at TwitchCon. You were. You were. You were like. You did a lot. We both did a lot. But you did the most. So we were also really looking forward to it. We were hungry. We were literally starved. We were all. But you know when you get like a little moody from being hungry. We both were like a little nonverbal in the car. [00:14:56] Speaker B: Yeah, like we were. I was so tired because I had literally got through working since I arrived at the con till the minute I left. Like, I was. [00:15:05] Speaker A: You didn't get a break and that was supposed to be your break. Right? And so like, so I had to [00:15:10] Speaker B: organize this dinner and I was the only person from Roblox there, which meant I had to show up early. But then some of the creators got there before me. It was. It was all a mess. So they ended up seating us in the back of this restaurant and we got the highest tier service, which was a five course dinner, which was insane. And a dessert. Yes, include. And with drinks. So. So the reason why we did all of this is because Roblox only is in Europe every so often. So Roblox is like, treat them. Treat them to something really nice. So we get there, they. We already know how this works. Basically, it's five courses. They give you four different options. It's very family style, share plates. And some of them are meat, some of them are vegetarian, some of them have fish. It's. It's just like a menagerie of food. [00:15:58] Speaker A: Yeah. So a lot of different foods, every single course. [00:16:01] Speaker B: Yeah. But there was also no rhyme or reason to any of the courses because it was basically like whatever the chef wanted to make. Girl, there was not a theme. [00:16:08] Speaker A: I felt like it was five. It was five times. Just meats and fish. Literally, there was none of. It was like appetizers, you know, soups, you know, you would think if you have five course meal, you'll have five different styles of meal, Right? Maybe you'll have, like two main courses. But that was just like, five main courses. [00:16:28] Speaker B: Yeah, it was. It was insane. So we sit down and they sit us at the very back of the restaurant, right next to the kitchen. [00:16:35] Speaker A: Oh, my God. [00:16:36] Speaker B: No ac, no air circulation. So the minute I'm sitting down, I'm like, this is insane. This is insanely hot back here. [00:16:45] Speaker A: Yes. And I. I promise you guys, we're not being dramatic. I promise you. Like, we. We sat down and I was like, whoa, it's hot in here. Like, it just hit you like a wall of hot air. And. But then I was like, oh, it's going to be fine. I'm already kind of used to it. And. [00:16:59] Speaker B: And plus, the sun was starting to go down, so I was like, well, maybe. [00:17:01] Speaker A: Yeah. We were like, we're. We're going to get used to it. It's going to be fine. It got hotter, getting worse. It kept getting hotter and hotter and hotter to the point where, like, my sweat would drip down from my eyebrows. [00:17:14] Speaker B: Sitting. Yeah, like, we were. [00:17:17] Speaker A: It was sauna. [00:17:18] Speaker B: It was a sauna. It was literally a sauna. So after about an hour, mind you, it took them 40 minutes to get the first course out to us. [00:17:30] Speaker A: That is not even a joke. Literally 40 minutes. Ordering drinks took them, like, also, like, 20. And we really needed a drink. [00:17:37] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:17:38] Speaker A: Like, we were. We were sweaty. We were dehydrated. We just needed some hydration. [00:17:43] Speaker B: Yeah, Forever. So we get in there. We're waiting 40 minutes for the first chorus. The first chorus comes out and you can tell the vibe of the table is everyone is, like, starting to get queasy and feel gross because of the heat. Like, we feel like we're about to pass out. So, yes, I get up also. [00:18:00] Speaker A: We're next. We also Realized that we're sat next to the kitchen. [00:18:04] Speaker B: Yes. [00:18:04] Speaker A: So that's why it kept getting hotter. [00:18:06] Speaker B: Yeah. So we get. I get up, I go to the host, and I was like, listen, respectfully, I need you to move our table or we will leave because it's like we are about to pass out back there. It is, like, not safe for us to stay back there. And I could tell that the waitress felt a little annoyed because I thought. And she was a little annoyed, but then she was like, yeah. I also. It was very strange because I could tell that she was like, American, living in the Netherlands because she didn't have an accent. So she kind of got like valley girl with me a little bit and was just like, yeah, it is a little hot. Like when I walk back there a little bit. And I was like, okay, cool. So they moved us outside, thankfully, so I need to paint the picture real quick. They move us outside right next to a manhole. There are periodic. I don't know if you smelled it. There are periodic wafts of sewage coming up from the manhole, wafting over our tables. [00:19:12] Speaker A: I didn't realize that, but I also was at the other end of you, so maybe I didn't even realize that. [00:19:17] Speaker B: I was like, what is this place? So we're sitting outside, it's so much cooler. I'm like, okay, cool. [00:19:25] Speaker A: Oh, it's so nice outside. [00:19:27] Speaker B: You can actually, like, relax and enjoy this dinner. [00:19:30] Speaker A: And that's where we finally started having conversations because we couldn't before. [00:19:35] Speaker B: It then takes them. I am not exaggerating. 30 to 40 minutes between each fucking course. [00:19:44] Speaker A: Yeah. By then we were there for four hours and we have still not had the last course. We're not kidding. It's been four hours sitting there and we've still not had our last course. [00:19:54] Speaker B: To the point where the restaurant closes and they can't serve us the fifth course. They are taking so long to get this food out to us. So. And mind you, the restaurant, not even that busy. So. [00:20:11] Speaker A: No. [00:20:11] Speaker B: I don't know what it was taking them so long. [00:20:13] Speaker A: Busy at all. We were there from 7 until 11. Yeah, yeah. [00:20:20] Speaker B: No, it was longer than 11. Yeah. Because. Yeah, by the time we were out of there, it was like 11:30. [00:20:26] Speaker A: We were home at 1am yeah. [00:20:29] Speaker B: Because the fourth course comes out and she's like, I could. She goes in the back and I see them starting to, like, close down the restaurant. So she comes out to us and she's like. [00:20:40] Speaker A: Which also, by the way, super rude to do. If there's still People eating and you're around us removing tables and that's just like, that's just for a restaurant on that level, you would just not expect that to happen. That's like you, you don't want to make your guests feel like they need to leave, especially if it's a nice restaurant. Girl, if we were like at the McDonald's and they're being like, hey, you can't stay here anymore. It'd be like, whatever. But we're at a nice five course, like high ranked restaurant, you know? [00:21:07] Speaker B: And so they come over to our table, the waitress, and she's like, so that was the final course. And in my head I'm like, diva. That was four courses? [00:21:17] Speaker A: Yeah. She was like, do you still want the fifth one? And we were like, what? Well, you're kind of making us feel like we can't have it anyway. [00:21:23] Speaker B: And then she's. And then she's like, do you want dessert? Well. And I'm like, well, yeah, because we are paying for the dessert. So I, I would like the dessert, yes. I've been here for four hours. I would like the dessert. So she's literally going around to each of us at the table. Who wants dessert? Who wants dessert? [00:21:40] Speaker A: I was so tired, but at that point I was like, I'm good. [00:21:42] Speaker B: And I was like, I. Oh, I was mad at that point and I was like, yeah, I'll take the fucking dessert. I will take the dessert right here. Give me the dessert. I actually want to see what the hell you would have served. And when I tell you this was the worst even. [00:21:55] Speaker A: See what she got you. [00:21:56] Speaker B: It was the worst dessert I've ever had. I'm going to describe this dessert to you. [00:21:59] Speaker A: Oh, no, I remember, I remember. They're like cummy soup, girl. [00:22:08] Speaker B: I was like this. I feel like the chef was back there and said, I'm going to make some. [00:22:12] Speaker A: I don't see. You couldn't make this shit up. You couldn't make this shit up. Literally. [00:22:17] Speaker B: What I like to think is the kitchen was so hot in the back that they, that the dessert melted by the time it came to us. So it was one scoop of a weird, like, weird flavor. Lychee, lychee, lychee, lychee. Flavored sorbet in a pool of melted sorbet. [00:22:43] Speaker A: So when we say pool, it's like, it's not like thick, it's literally like, like watery soup. [00:22:50] Speaker B: Watery soup. And it is the same flavor as a sorbet, which makes me think this had been sitting in the back and had been melting and they just grabbed it off a shelf. Pop rocks. Pop rocks are sprinkled in this dessert. I am not exaggerating. Pop rocks. [00:23:15] Speaker A: It's a Japanese restaurant, so there's just, [00:23:18] Speaker B: like, random popping in this dessert. I'm taking, like, a few, like, bites of this, and I'm like, what in [00:23:24] Speaker A: the fuck is this dessert? We were all. Everyone at the table was, like, trying to figure out what it is, and I tried it and I was like, this is actually nasty. [00:23:36] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:23:37] Speaker A: And it also looked so nasty. It literally looked like cum soup. [00:23:41] Speaker B: Yeah. It was gross. So I get the check. It's very expensive. Extremely expensive check. [00:23:47] Speaker A: Very expensive. [00:23:50] Speaker B: And we part ways, and I was, like, talking with everyone, and they were like, wow, that food was delicious. And I wanted to be like, I know you're lying. I know you are just being tried to be nice. [00:24:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:24:04] Speaker B: I was like, that was a hellish dinner that we just went through. [00:24:09] Speaker A: If it wasn't for the good company, I would have genuinely been like, hey, if, like, if this wasn't also, like, a Roblox thing, like an official thing, I would have been like, girl, let's go. Like, let's go somewhere else. [00:24:19] Speaker B: I was this close, I'm not even kidding you, this close to canceling our dinner. Because that beginning experience was so bad. Ordering Ubers for all of us and just going to Food Holland. Yeah. And I'm like, we could. [00:24:34] Speaker A: Girl, that would have been so much better. [00:24:36] Speaker B: So much better. [00:24:37] Speaker A: That would have been so much. Food Holland was amazing. And we could have had amazing drinks and amazing food. [00:24:42] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. I was this close. I was like, this is a terrible experience for everyone. [00:24:48] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, we always learn from these experiences, right? [00:24:52] Speaker B: Like, yeah, let's talk about, though, the food poisoning of it all, [00:25:00] Speaker A: girl. There's. There's so much happened this weekend. So we go to the partner party and I am extremely nervous. I'm really, really nervous, surprisingly, because I usually am, like, Like, I. I think in public places, I'm usually, like, really comfortable. I can pretty much talk, talk to anybody. I. I do feel like I have, like, social skills. I don't. When it comes to something like TwitchCon. I genuinely was, like, mortified. I really tried to keep it cool, like, play cool, you know, But I was not. I was not feeling, like, comfortable in my own skin. I don't know. I just, like, I. Yeah. So we arrived there. Obviously, being his usual self, he actually really, like. Like, bless his heart. He did help me, like, get out of my shell. But when we were there, we were like, okay, the vibes are giving. Like, you know. You know when you hear the shoes clacking on the floor from the party being so, like, it was giving that. Yeah, you can hear, like, the shoes, like, squeaking and, like, the music was. There was not a lot of people. It was really empty. Yes. And this was. This was. This was Friday before the actual con, and only the Twitch partners and industry people and Twitch people were invited. And Dylan obviously knows, like, like, everyone, like always. So he introduced me to a bunch of people. That was really, really nice. If this. If this queen wasn't there, I would have just stood there awkwardly in a corner for 10 minutes until I couldn't bear the awkwardness of it anymore. And I would have just left. Like, I am not even kidding. But also, we realized they're serving drinks. So they had food and drinks. They had, like, different, like, food stacks and like, two or three bars. [00:26:35] Speaker B: They had three drinks. [00:26:37] Speaker A: Yeah, they had wine, beer, and water. [00:26:39] Speaker B: No, no, no. It was one kind of wine, one white, one red, and then Heineken. And those were your only options. [00:26:47] Speaker A: Girl, if I'm being honest, I'm surprised that they even gave us food and drinks for free. [00:26:50] Speaker B: Oh, I know. But I think, like, for me, it is not to be too harsh on my girl. Twitch. It is such a severe step down to. Cuz I have been to, like, now at this point, three different Twitch cons in Europe, in Rotterdam. Oh, you have. This was hands down the worst partner party I have ever been to. Like, it just wasn't like, I think we were missing the fun. Like, the whole purpose. There was no fun is to be fun and exciting and, like, have fun drinks. And even the setup of, like, where to sit and hang out was, like, felt like a cafeteria. [00:27:32] Speaker A: And yeah, it was literally, it was a cafeteria. Like, if, like, if you wanted to sit down, you were immediately off from everybody else, and then. Or you were standing around awkwardly in the middle of it. And if I feel like I would have made it, first of all, I would make the place a little darker so people are a little more comfortable because it was broad daylight kind of. And then the stage was, like, kind of offset from everybody. And then there was no, like, program. I would. I would. Obviously, I don't want. I wouldn't need to be, like, a lot of program, but just, like, a little bit. I don't know, like, hey, the buffet is open. Or like, hey, so I'm gonna have this person perform or anything to, like, have people engage, you know? So that wasn't really Happening. There was obviously a lot of, like, little groups of people that know each other. I, as a World of Warcraft creator, felt pretty lonely there because, like, it just was. [00:28:21] Speaker B: Not a lot. [00:28:21] Speaker A: Yeah, there was. No, there was, like, not a lot. There was, like, obviously some that I met then later, which I was really, really grateful for. But, yeah, like, not. Not a lot. And then also when I'm really nervous, I can't eat, like, in front of people. I just get really anxious. But by the time I had my time, I had my fourth glass of wine, I was like, oh, there's burgers. And girl, thank God I took the veggie burger and I ate, like, half of it. Because we would have. If we would have eaten anything of the other things. Because you had the other burger, right? [00:28:53] Speaker B: I had one bite of the other burger. [00:28:55] Speaker A: Yeah. One bite. And I was like, maybe you dodged it. Yeah. [00:28:58] Speaker B: Because I'm, like, feeling this and it is a tiny bite. And I threw it away. [00:29:01] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I ate, like, half of mine. And even, like, thank God we had dinner before that because apparently people got food poisoning from it. And by Sunday, the divas were shitting and vomiting. [00:29:15] Speaker B: Yeah, girl. It was disgusting. [00:29:19] Speaker A: Apparently bad for them. [00:29:20] Speaker B: You could just tell. [00:29:21] Speaker A: Horrible. [00:29:21] Speaker B: You could tell, too. [00:29:22] Speaker A: Like, I felt like, Sunday, the partner lawns empty. [00:29:27] Speaker B: Empty. The Saturday, Saturday even I felt like it was so sparse because I think you could tell that, like, people were getting sick due to being at the partner party and eating the food there. And you could just tell generally, like, people were not feeling well and not like a. I'm sick unwell. Like, oh, like, I am pooping. [00:29:49] Speaker A: Yellow skin tone. Like, feeling sick. Yeah, yeah. [00:29:53] Speaker B: That was crazy. But Twitchcon kept us busy. We got to meet so many of your community members, which was awesome. I didn't know that there could be that many straight people in a room. So I think it was just, like, very exciting to meet some of the heterosexual members of your community. Yeah. [00:30:11] Speaker A: What? What? That heterosexual? Yeah, you misread something fiercely stupid. It was the other way around. We were, like, around so many straight people. And then we were like, will you talk to a queer person? And then we had the drag show on Saturday, which was amazing. I love shout out to Marge, Mello and Z. Yes. [00:30:29] Speaker B: So sweet. [00:30:30] Speaker A: By. By. By Saturday night, I feel like I finally arrived. That's where I finally felt comfortable. I didn't really care anymore. We. We, like, actually got to, like, mingle with some people. And then by Sunday night. Sunday, we filmed a lot of content. [00:30:48] Speaker B: Sunday night was the most Fun for me, personally. [00:30:50] Speaker A: I loved Sunday. Sunday was great because we slept in, we got breakfast, we then filmed content, got ready on our own terms, went back to TwitchCon because we didn't have any, like, big plans that day besides a few, like, events that they were offering us. Oh, we did a photo shoot. Well, photo shoot is a bit of a stretch, but we had, like a. There was, like, a photo booth for partners with an actual photographer and, like, his assistant, and they were taking headshots if you wanted to. And then me and Dylan asked me if we can do some together for the pod. So I hope that the pictures turn out well. [00:31:20] Speaker B: Um, no, no, no, no, no, no. We gotta talk about it. You know, I'm gonna bring it up. You know I'm gonna bring it up. Girl. Girl, this. This diva over here was serving so severely in that photo booth that the girl who was holding the lights came over to both of us and was like, can I get your Instagram? I start pulling. She's not even talking to me, fully ignores me, goes straight to Art and is like, have you ever been scouted before? [00:31:56] Speaker A: And Art is like, have you ever been signed before? [00:31:59] Speaker B: No. She says, scouted. She says, scouted. Girl, have you ever been scouted before? And you say, no, not really. And then she's like, well, are you signed to an agency? And then that's when you're like, no, not really. She's like, I think you should sign to an agency. And then she's asking are all these questions, like, I would love to take photos of you. I love your face. Like. Like all this stuff. And I was like, I could see art's ego starting to rise severely. Okay, I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. No, it was. It was so cute because Art was, like, in their element during the photo shoot, where this, like, little, like, schoolboy outfit was, like, serving in their photos. And I was like, not you getting immediately scouted. And then. And then, listen, this is. This is the. The power of Art. Because then Sunday we get invited to this management party, and it's at Food Holland, and we're all just hanging out, and Art and I decide we're having so much fun, we're actually not going to go to the party, which is, like, right next door. [00:33:04] Speaker A: Yeah. So it's like a networking party. We were like, it's like in the same room, but we were like, we're not going to go. We're having so much fun with the community. This feels correct. Let's not do that. [00:33:13] Speaker B: And One of the people, one of the managers of this management company. [00:33:17] Speaker A: She is not just one of the managers. I found out she is the CEO of the agency. [00:33:21] Speaker B: That makes sense. So she leaves the agency, finds art at the bar, immediately beelines to art and is like, I really like your content. I saw you were on our list, and I just wanted to introduce myself. You know how fucking severe that is to get scouted not once, but fucking twice at TwitchCon. [00:33:49] Speaker A: Yeah. So for me, I got a little emotional after that. Not because I'm like, oh, my God, me, me, me. It was more like a. I made this conscious decision to stay with my community and you guys and just, like, hang out because I was so sick of the, like, networking, you know, I've tried. You know, you. Dylan saw me trying to network with game devs. I'm so bad at that. Like, you would, like. I also. I was. I was kind of surprised. I will learn something about myself because I worked. I work in marketing, right? Yeah. And I've also been in hr. So I literally. My job is to talk to people, right? But for some reason, when it comes about. When it comes to. But myself, I'm just, like, a complete beginner. I'm so, like, there was this, like, networking thing where we talked to game devs, and I was like, okay, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna build myself up and I'm gonna do it. I got a drink. Everybody was talking to devs. I, like, kept looking around like, who do I want to talk to? Who looks easy to talk to? I finally built up the courage to go to Square Enix, and I'm like, hey, so I've been thinking about Streaming Final Fantasy 14, blah, blah, blah. And he goes, that's nice. Here's our new game. So my one final attempt at trying to network just flopped, Right? And then I just get kind of, like, I put so much pressure on myself, I just kind of gave up. And then to be rewarded by choosing, like, you know, like, kind of following your heart and then to get rewarded by, like, the universe with her coming to me felt just so good. That felt so good. [00:35:17] Speaker B: Yeah. And it was deserved. I mean, you are killing it. And I think that your World of Warcraft content stands out in a sea of World of Warcraft content. So it makes sense. Like, if I'm a management company, I'd be like, yeah, let's get this girl, like, signed asap, girl. So I am just so happy that you had a successful TwitchCon, especially your first TwitchCon as a Twitch partner. And it was announced that TwitchCon next year will be at Berlin, which is. So maybe we'll, you know, be at Berlin and maybe more of y' all who are listeners can come out and join us, please. I would love it. But I am excited because now that we've met each other in person, I know blizzcon is about to be the stupidest place in the United States. [00:36:05] Speaker A: It's literally in three months, babes. It's literally in three months. [00:36:08] Speaker B: I still need to buy shit. I still need to book my show. [00:36:11] Speaker A: That's like. That's like three months is going to, you know, that's going to pass like that. Like, that's nothing. And I am so excited. I'm just so excited we get to hang out again. I'm so excited that so we're going to know so many more people. And TwitchCon was already so special. I really, like, think that if you don't have the chance to go to BlizzCon, if you don't have a chance to go to these two things because they're too far away, I can recommend going to twitchcon. Especially if you're, like, part of someone's, like, Twitch community. It can. It's such a fun experience to hang out with everybody and just, like, talk about all these things we have in common. [00:36:45] Speaker B: It's. [00:36:45] Speaker A: It's incredible. I can really recommend. At first, after the first day, I was like, girl, I don't know if. I don't know if I'm ever going to go again. And you were like, yeah, girl, I don't know. By the end of Sunday, I was like, so, Berlin next year. Yeah, I know. [00:36:57] Speaker B: The Sunday made it worth it because I. Yeah. So I should state that. Yeah, you could tell, like, the vibe of this TwitchCon was a lot lower because a lot of people that we know weren't attending. So, yeah, Sunday is how it usually is. That vibe is the vibe every single night at a TwitchCon where you're hanging out with friends, you're drinking. It's like so silly and stupid. So I'm glad that we got a little bit of that, like, at least towards the end. But yeah, I think, like, one of my favorite moments was us after the club, after everything, just laying in our separate beds, trauma dumping to each other. [00:37:34] Speaker A: It was really cute, though. It was like a girly sleepover, you know, when you, like, tell each other your secrets. [00:37:40] Speaker B: We literally, at one point, it was like three in the morning. We would not. [00:37:43] Speaker A: Every night, every night, every night until 3am we would just Even on Sunday night when you had to wake up early the next day, we were like, yeah, to the point where I was like, girl, go to beds. [00:37:53] Speaker B: I know. It's like we need to, we need to shut the up and go to bed and lock in. [00:37:58] Speaker A: Unfortunately, I, I like this. I know. Surprise. But unfortunately she's likable. [00:38:03] Speaker B: I know. It's so sad. I know. Poor me, I'm so likable. No, let's talk though, let's talk though about first, let's get into the World of Warcraft of it all and then let's talk about the state of play. So World of Warcraft announced that there is this mini patch that's going to be coming to the game. [00:38:23] Speaker A: Yes, yes, yes, yes. So there is a new patch coming in World of Warcraft. It is called. I forgot the name. I didn't even know that it was going to have its own name because it's like usually the small in between patches are just called like 12.07. Right. But this one actually has a name, it's called World of Midnight Revelations. So usually if something's called like that, it's like a point patch. So like you know where there's a new season, a new raid, new dungeons, everything. But this one is an in between Patch, 12.07 and it has its own name. So it is bigger than just like the small little in between patches like and it, it comes with a new raid. It is a one boss raid, which the interesting thing about this raid is that we're going to have mythic difficulty. And mythic difficulty until now is famous for being locked to 20 players. No less, no more. You could go in with less players but you will still have the same health scaling as 20 players. So obviously you need to have 20 players. It's locked in. And throughout the years a lot of mythic raids have just died out because people cannot either stick to 20 people or they don't want to cut down to 20 people. Because in heroic you can read with 30 people. [00:39:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:39:39] Speaker A: Or 10. So it's like flexible. You can do. I think you can even do eight. I don't know if that's true, but like I think 10 is like I've done. I've seen 10 men raids all the way up to 30. And this time for the first time, Blizzard is trying well after it used to exist in the past, but they're trying this new thing called Mythic Flex, which I'm really, really excited about, where you'll be able to go all the way down to 15 people, and I think up to 25. It is a testos, and I think it's really smart of them to do that with just one boss in the middle of a patch. So. And like, the. The. The. The. The gear is pretty much the same as the other. Like, it's not crazy, like, different, but it is and test they're doing. So maybe in the future, we're going to have more Mythic flex, which I think would be great. I would just love to have, like, a committed team of, like, 10 girlies. That one to mythic raid, because 10 people. You can organize 10 people. Right? And you can also keep up the momentum with 10 people. With 20 people is genuinely so hard. I am always so, like, surprised by girls that can keep up for such a long time in a season to keep Mythic rating. Like, I've already quit. I already quit. Right before TwitchCon, I was like, I need to stop. I need to take a break here. Six hours of my week. [00:40:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:40:49] Speaker A: I can't keep going. [00:40:50] Speaker B: What is your final rating? Like, if you did quit, like, what are you out? [00:40:55] Speaker A: I got to the. The vanguard, so the. The three paladins, everything before that. [00:41:05] Speaker B: I see. Okay. [00:41:05] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:41:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:07] Speaker A: And I really wanted to keep going to get. Because I'm sure that they can get Illyria down, but I go. I just don't have it in me to stick to the schedule for six hours a week next to everything else I'm doing next. Like, I just. It's too much. For a while, I could take it. And now I'm like, no, I need to take a break now. Also, I had to keep canceling because of. And stuff. And I felt bad. When the person cancels, they have to find replacement, and then that person didn't progress as much as you did. So they have to relearn the boss so that. So it hinders the entire raid. It's just a mess. [00:41:35] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:36] Speaker A: So I'm really excited about this. They're also introducing two new mini zones, which I think is a bit of a stretch to call them new zones because they're like, event zones, and they're, like, reskinned legion things. I think it is a little bit of a stretch. I think. I wouldn't. I. I think it's. The wording is a little. Is a little. Is. I have to be more careful with their wording because if people walk in, they're expecting, like, an entire new zone. I'm like, that's not what it is. It's an event zone. [00:42:02] Speaker B: I. I don't like when they do these little event zones. It reminds me of. Even though this was a bigger patch. Remember, remember in War within, where there was that random extra area where you were, like, getting the jewels for the ring. [00:42:16] Speaker A: Don't. [00:42:16] Speaker B: It was so stupid. [00:42:19] Speaker A: That nasty. Like. Like western themed, which was so clearly BFA content that they've scrapped. [00:42:27] Speaker B: Clearly BFA content. [00:42:28] Speaker A: So clearly BFA content that was. They've done zones like that in the past that I've loved. I loved Mechagon. I loved the isles in Dragonfly. You didn't like Mechagon? I loved Mechagon. [00:42:42] Speaker B: I love it. [00:42:43] Speaker A: I even got. I got the meta achievement for it. I discovered every corner, every pixel on that island. I was so into of our. [00:42:50] Speaker B: Yeah. You were inspecting those mechanomes. Like, let me see what you're working with. [00:42:55] Speaker A: Flop. [00:42:56] Speaker B: Yeah. You took the metal detector. You did the X ray. You said, oh, you got bones, mama. [00:43:02] Speaker A: That's what you thought you should attach to your limb. Right. So that. That's coming. Then there's also. There's turbulent timeways, which is also really exciting. It is this time walking event. And we're getting Dragonfly time walking, which still gags me. [00:43:19] Speaker B: That's fine. [00:43:19] Speaker A: Dragonfly time walking, considering that it feels like it's been out yesterday. And now we're getting time walking. Crazy. So. And there's a bunch of new rewards. You can get Verona, my Ice the Frost Proto dragon Diva. You can get her as a mount. That's really cool. There's a bunch of new. There's new difficulties for the ritual sites, which I've played so much already. Like, I know exactly what ritual sites are about. Like, I've discovered, like, yay. [00:43:48] Speaker B: I still don't really care for them. When are we getting labyrinths? [00:43:52] Speaker A: Remember when that's coming later in after this. After the second season. So I think, like, November or something. [00:43:58] Speaker B: Wow. [00:43:59] Speaker A: They announced it. It's coming in the second season, which is. In the second season is a. Is. People are thinking it's about to hit right after turbulent timeways, and that lasts for a month. So people. No, wait. [00:44:10] Speaker B: Sorry. It'll be coming, I think August. [00:44:12] Speaker A: August or something. [00:44:13] Speaker B: It'll probably be right before Blizzcon, right? [00:44:16] Speaker A: Yeah, like a month before Blizzcon. Please don't be in September because we'll be so busy. [00:44:22] Speaker B: Especially after play. After the state of play, girl. [00:44:26] Speaker A: Okay, yeah, we'll get into that. But September is gonna be busy boots. And then. Yeah. So the patch. I'm sure a lot of people don't even realize that this patch is actually as big as it is because everyone's just like. I think people are feeling a little burnt out from wow right now. At least my snapshot of it from my community and my. The people that I talk to that I'm close to, most of them are feeling a little like, have moved on from the game right now. But that sometimes feels really alarming to people and to me too. But mind you, I'm a content creator for a while, so of course it feels shitty when, like, your numbers go down. People don't really tune into your streams anymore because that. That affects me. But you as a player, I would get excited about that because that means you could just explore different games. You can go back to old content. You can not worry about getting your vault filled every week. You can just like, you know, live and just explore. These were usually my favorite times in a while because then I would go with my spreadsheets and I would farm all my meta achievements and I would like randomly be in like a cataclysm dungeon looking for a pet, you know, And I love that way of playing WoW. So I would just take that as an opportunity to just like, collect or play other games. So many amazing other games are coming out right now. And then World of Workouts will be back eventually. You know, once the season rolls around, people are going to come back in new raids, new tier sets, new everything, new dungeons, new season. So don't worry about it. And then we have BlizzCon with more announcements. Even more hype is going to be. The hype is coming back. Like, don't worry if it feels a little scary right now and, like, daunting. It's temporary. We experience that after every season. [00:46:09] Speaker B: I think for me, while we're in this, like, lull of content, I really want to take the time to try to get as far into the Guild Wars 2 storyline as I can, because there is a new announcement coming in Guild Wars. So I was like, okay, now is the time for me to, like, lock in and try to finish this damn story, girl. [00:46:29] Speaker A: I made the mistake yesterday of watching a YouTube video based on Guild Wars 3 and now my for you page is full with it. I spent the entire morning watching Guild Wars 3 possible speculations and announcements. Shout out to the creator, Kruf. Love them. [00:46:46] Speaker B: Proof's amazing. I know Proof. [00:46:49] Speaker A: I watched their video and there's like all these theories. People think it's like, do you remember [00:46:53] Speaker B: or the city or yes, yes. [00:46:57] Speaker A: So that, like, you know how it's like, all, like, destroyed. We never got to experience it. We, like, kind of know the culture a little bit, but we. Yeah. And people think we're going back to or. [00:47:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:47:08] Speaker A: And like, so there's all these other theories and I'm just like, if Guild was free comes out and you get to be part of this game from day one. [00:47:16] Speaker B: Oh, I mean, that was me and Guild Wars 2. I played Guild Wars 2 from when it launched and was really lost almost [00:47:24] Speaker A: 2015 or 14 or something. [00:47:27] Speaker B: Yeah, I was locked in on it because you have to remember, I. I remember like, the marketing hype around Guild Wars 2 because it had this, like, watercolor art style with, like, its abilities. And there would, like, they would release these fun marketing videos for each class. So everyone was like, oh, my God, what classes are going to be in the game? What are the abilities of each class? And like, I want that again for Guild Wars 3 because I do think in terms of how Guild wars handles classes, I think it is the most fun for me because I love the fact that I can play a thief and my thief plays different than other thieves that are. [00:48:07] Speaker A: Absolutely. It's. There's so much little, like small, little different identities inside the class system. It's so good. I love Guild Wars 2 and I've always played it. I've played. I finished Path of Fire and I've. And I finished End of Dragons 2. I kind of skipped over Heart of Thorns. Stone sue me. Like, I just didn't like. I just. The zone was rough. I was like, I'm going to play the others and once I have the dragon and can fly around, I'm going to go back and play Heart of Thorns. [00:48:32] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:48:33] Speaker A: But love, love, love, love, love that game. I have so many special memories tied to it, but it's really hard for me now to get back into it sometimes because, like, there's people running around with all these amazing mocs and I've tried to farm my legendary so often, and I would get like 20% and then I would just, like, give up. So I never really, like, got back on the train with it. So I feel like a reset for me, for selfish reasons would be fierce right now. With a complete new fresh start, everyone starts from scratch. I would love that because I love MMOs. I love all of them. So I'm very, very excited. But I also, I hope that we're not, like, excited for nothing. What if it isn't even a thing? [00:49:12] Speaker B: Well, okay, so here's the tea. We do know A Guild Wars 3 is in development. Like they have. They have talked about a Guild Wars 3 development since like I believe 2017. Like they're. They are working on a Guild Wars 3, but Guild Wars 2 also, I believe is still performing exceptionally well for them because the reason why seems so. The reason why they did Guild Wars 2 is because Guild Wars 1 was kind of like petering out. And so I do think we're going to get a Guild Wars 3. It might not be now, but we will get one eventually. Because they. [00:49:49] Speaker A: I really hope so. [00:49:52] Speaker B: I. I'm really excited about it. I. Even if it's the new announcement is a new expansion, basically there's going to be an announcement soon, right? Yeah. And the timing is conveniently around the same time as Summer Games Fest. So it would not shock me if it is a Guild Wars 3 that is announced at Summer Games Fest. We'll see. But I. [00:50:15] Speaker A: Summer Games Fest is tonight. [00:50:17] Speaker B: No, it's Friday, I believe. Wait, today's Friday? No, it is. It's not Friday. [00:50:26] Speaker A: I was gonna stream it tonight. It is tonight. [00:50:31] Speaker B: Is it tonight? Okay, it is tonight. [00:50:33] Speaker A: Well, for me it's night. For you it'll be day. [00:50:35] Speaker B: Yeah, it's. [00:50:36] Speaker A: For me, it's 10pm there's gonna be [00:50:39] Speaker B: a lot that's gonna be announced, I think. Correct. I actually, there's no point in me theorizing this because we'll. This will come out after. But I. I think the main game that I'm really hoping gets announced at Summer Games Fest is Half Life 3. I think there has been so many rumors. Well, not even rumors. We know for a fact that Valve has gotten back into developing games and they started develop redeveloping games again like four years ago. And the normal. [00:51:07] Speaker A: Sorry, what game? [00:51:08] Speaker B: Half Life 3. [00:51:09] Speaker A: I've never played Half Life. [00:51:13] Speaker B: Girl. Girl. I need you to do a stream where you are playing. You could you. You can Skip Half Life 1. Half Life 1's amazing. I need you to play Half Life 2. [00:51:25] Speaker A: The way can you play Half Life 2 without playing Half Life 1? I have no idea what it's about. [00:51:29] Speaker B: Okay, I'm gonna give you this. The concept of it. Okay. This is a crazy concept. [00:51:32] Speaker A: Is that spoilery though? [00:51:35] Speaker B: It depends. So there is a game called Black Mesa that is a HD remake of the first Half Life game, which you can play that if you want. You can also just play Half Life 2. You will be a little confused, but like their stories are separated enough that you can basically read a synopsis of Half Life 1 to know what's basically happening in Half Life 2, then the concept of the game is it's a shooter. But there are physics based puzzles in the game because you have this gun called the gravity gun that lets you pick things up and then kind of throw them. So it allows you to pick things up and throw them as weapons. Like, as thing like, like the issue, like, and things to attack enemies with. But the story is so good. It's about like fighting against this like alien regime that has taken over. And there's like this weird like storyline. You. You have to experience it. It is a cultural like pillar in gaming. Like Half Life. [00:52:46] Speaker A: Never heard of it. [00:52:47] Speaker B: Half Life 2 has inspired hundreds of games after it. Like the way that it tells the story, the way that it does its shooting mechanics, like this. This game was like revolutionary when it came out. And people have been wanting a Half Life 3 because the story of Half Life 2 basically ends on a cliffhanger. And Valve for years we're talking about like, oh, well, we're going to eventually do a Half Life 3. Half Life 3 never came out and they have started redeveloping games. So there are rumors that. And there's been rumors for years now that a Half Life 3 is coming. And if they announce a Half Life 3, my bussy will fall out of my body and I will scream till my lungs bleed because I need a Half Life 3. [00:53:39] Speaker A: I feel like. You sound excited. Yeah. Nice. I'm hoping for some more Resident Evil stuff. Hopefully. [00:53:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:53:47] Speaker A: Maybe like a remake of Resident Evil 5. So I. Because I'm fiercely gonna skip Resident Evil 5 and 6. [00:53:52] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:53:53] Speaker A: And after experiencing a brief moment of it with my sister in Lens, when we played together, it was. We quit after like 20 minutes. I know Resident Evil are gonna hate me right now, Resident Evil fans, but I just couldn't. You can't make a person that has never played that game play a game. I'm sorry. [00:54:12] Speaker B: No, it's so true. Because I think in hindsight after you were talking about it, like it Obviously Resident Evil 5 needs a remaster because graphically it is the worst looking Resident [00:54:22] Speaker A: Evil game as a sepia filter on it. [00:54:24] Speaker B: Yeah. It has not aged well. The gameplay is fun in Resident Evil 5, but it is rough when you're going from like a Resident Evil 4 Remastered to like Resident Evil 5. [00:54:39] Speaker A: Yeah. So this just. It's not gonna work. So I hope that that is being announced or something along those lines. I'm very excited. I'm gonna be streaming it tonight. I'm excited. [00:54:48] Speaker B: Oh, I'm. Hi. All right, so let's talk about really quick. The state of play when I. Oh, the PlayStation State of Play. When I tell you I am a PlayStation, girly. I love PlayStation. I've loved PlayStation since I was a kid. [00:55:05] Speaker A: This considering buying it now. [00:55:07] Speaker B: You should. [00:55:08] Speaker A: I sold mine, right? Because I was like, I can play everything on PC. But now I'm like, no, can I? [00:55:14] Speaker B: This state of play, I think, was made specifically for me because nearly every game that they showed, I was like, banger, banger. [00:55:23] Speaker A: They all seemed really, really good. [00:55:25] Speaker B: I will play that. [00:55:26] Speaker A: But one stood out. No, two stood out. [00:55:29] Speaker B: Oh, the God of War game. [00:55:33] Speaker A: They got a war game. Like, how can you make me tear up at a game that I have not even played yet? Like, I genuinely. It was so, so, so, so, so good. They announced it and I was directing live to it on stream and they were like 20 minutes of gameplay. I was like, 20 minutes. I was sucking every second of that of that preview. I genuinely was like, like this, like, with my eyes, like shooting stars out of them. Like, it was so, so, so, so, so good. [00:56:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:56:02] Speaker A: And also just like, Deborah. Deborah is her name, right? [00:56:06] Speaker B: Deborah, yeah, Deborah. [00:56:08] Speaker A: Like, she is iconic. I remember watching her in True Blood, and she was my favorite character, Jessica. And then she's also like a huge nerd DND diva. For her to play this main character is just like, oh, my heart is so full. Pride Month is in full effect. [00:56:25] Speaker B: I also love the fact that from my. To my knowledge, they create. They created this game side by side with Ragnarok. And I'm very excited to see how the story intermingles between Ragnarok and Le Fay. [00:56:41] Speaker A: There's already one point where Thor hits him with his hammer and he, like, knocks out. Well, that's. He talks to. [00:56:48] Speaker B: That's in the first game. But yes. [00:56:50] Speaker A: Yeah. But people have already made that connection because he says similar things to what he says to her when she sees him. So I'm like, that is so cool. I'm also replaying God of war 2018 and Ragnarok because I've never finished Ragnarok. [00:57:04] Speaker B: Oh, my God, Ragnarok. [00:57:06] Speaker A: And I'm not gonna stream it. I'm gonna do it by myself as my own little, like, me time, because I don't really do that anymore, and I need that. [00:57:13] Speaker B: Yeah, Ragnarok is a little rough, but the story makes it worth it by the end because I. I felt like the ending really stuck. Like, they really stuck the landing on that ending. I was a little worried as I was playing the game. I'm like, the story is not really going anywhere. It's like one of those. One of those games where you feel like they needed to add filler to it to make it longer because they needed it to be a full featured, like full, full length game. And you can tell like when you get to the middle of that game, you're like, I feel like I'm doing like chores at this point. [00:57:48] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. [00:57:50] Speaker B: Another game that really stood out to me. I played the demo of this game when I was at TwitchCon San Diego last year, which was Onimusha. I am very excited for the new Onimusha game. [00:58:01] Speaker A: It looked so good. [00:58:03] Speaker B: Yeah. The demo, which you can now download and play. It's the same demo that was at TwitchCon. Gagged me. It was just so good. It's. Onimusha is like a staple of Capcom's like lineup. But it's this game that had like an arcadey feel to it where you're like running around and killing all these enemies. So it was cool to see like a modernized version of what Onimusha could look like. That was fierce. The new Rayman game. Fierce. [00:58:32] Speaker A: The new until dawn too. [00:58:36] Speaker B: The way I was gagged. The way I was gagged. I really thought when that trailer first started I was like, is this Dead Island 3? Which I would have also lived for because I loved. [00:58:46] Speaker A: I was like, what is that? Like I'm already seeing like teens coming together. I'm like, wait a minute. I did not. I thought it was gonna be another dark pictures game, but until dawn 2. Did not expect that. Did not expect that. I was so, so, so, so, so gagged. And also my husband is in the movie, so. Yeah, I'm not sure I can play that game on stream. I feel like we should spend that time alone. Just. [00:59:10] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Like is there a one handed mode in this game or two handed or no handed? Just whatever. But I will also shout out ill looked crazy. The new Silent Hill game looked insane. [00:59:27] Speaker A: Of course, of course. [00:59:29] Speaker B: I. I'm really. [00:59:30] Speaker A: I already wishlisted it. [00:59:32] Speaker B: I. Girl, I need to do that. I'm very excited for Wolverine. Like bitch. I. When I. When Jean Grey showed up in that Wolverine trailer with her pink pussy psychic powers, I was gripping my chair screaming [00:59:53] Speaker A: because I was like, like that. That's like so like you. I love that. I'm so excited for you. [00:59:58] Speaker B: I was so happy because I was like, yes, we're getting pink psychic powers, Jean Gray. This is what I wanted. [01:00:06] Speaker A: I'm exciting. [01:00:07] Speaker B: I'm also excited for the Dynasty Warriors 3 remaster. That's an amazing game that I played growing up. [01:00:12] Speaker A: There's just so the Escape Runeforge. No. What is it? [01:00:17] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Runescape Dragon Wild Runescape coming out. Day one. [01:00:20] Speaker A: That looked so good. [01:00:23] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:00:23] Speaker A: Like, I know it's already out, but I'm. I'm gonna play it when it fully releases. [01:00:28] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:00:28] Speaker A: And it looks so up my alley. It looks like a little DND party. It's so cute. [01:00:33] Speaker B: Yeah. And then no rest for the wicked. That which is like this dark souls. Like souls like game. [01:00:39] Speaker A: Love that name, by the way. Yeah, that name sounds. That name makes me, like, interested. [01:00:43] Speaker B: And then the Yokai Hunters game, that looked cool too, with like, you're fighting [01:00:47] Speaker A: all of them looks pretty good. Honestly. All of them. I. I was excited for all of them. Besides that one. Like War Game. [01:00:53] Speaker B: Yeah. And then there was like this driving one which was like, okay, whatever. [01:00:57] Speaker A: Oh yeah. I don't care about racing games. [01:00:58] Speaker B: Yeah. But other than that, every single game was a banger. It made me genuinely excited. But here's the tea. [01:01:06] Speaker A: The Marvel Fighting Game token or Marvel Token. [01:01:09] Speaker B: Yes, love. [01:01:11] Speaker A: So I will be eating the up same. But they better have Scarlet Witch in there. [01:01:16] Speaker B: They have to. They would be crazy not to. But the thing is, you could tell that all of these game studios are moving all of their game releases to September because everyone is afraid of Grand Theft Auto 6. [01:01:32] Speaker A: But why is GTA so big? I'm gonna be very honest with you. I have never played it. I've watched my sister sometimes. She's obsessed with it. She cannot wait for that to come out. She still plays the old one until this day. [01:01:44] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:01:45] Speaker A: So I like, I just like, why are they so afraid of it? They're so. Everything's coming out in September. I'm like, girl, do you want me to split myself 10 times? [01:01:55] Speaker B: The industry is very scared of Grand Theft Auto 6 because it sold so amazingly well within its first few weeks that they know, like, we're talking. I think it was like a hundred million. Like, I don't know if it was 100 million, but it was like millions and millions and millions of copies of the game within like, the first, like, week. Like, it sold so insanely well, which is why they've already invested a billion dollars into the development of Grand Theft Auto 6. It was. It's like some insane number because they know if they sell the game for like 70 a pop, they're going to make the money back. [01:02:31] Speaker A: Like if billion dollars. Am I going to be able to AI myself and like transfer my consciousness into that game? Why is it so expensive? [01:02:40] Speaker B: I don't know, but we're going to find out why it's so expensive. My. I'm going to be so for real, though. I am scared of Grand Theft Auto 6 not being good because I think personally, Grand Theft Auto 5 is so good because of the time it came out. And it's still a fun game now. But if Grand Theft Auto 5 came out now how it was back then, I don't think it would gag people as severely as it did. I think a lot of people have nostalgia for Grand Theft Auto because they grew up playing Grand Theft Auto, which is why I think people just, like, find comfort in Grand Theft Auto 5. I really need them to like, and I know they will because the team at Rockstar, they kill it all the time. Grand Theft Auto 6 needs to really revolutionize what it's like to play a game like Grand Theft Auto. And I have no doubt that they can. I just really hope that it doesn't feel like basically Grand Theft Auto 5. [01:03:45] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:03:46] Speaker B: Because I feel like people will just play grand theft auto 5 then. Yeah, I need to do something different. [01:03:52] Speaker A: Anyway, exciting times coming when it comes to games. Very, very excited. And most of them are coming this year already. God of War is not coming this year, unfortunately. We don't even know if it's coming next year early. It might even be late next year. But I'm still so, so, so excited. And also, there's plenty of games to play until then. [01:04:08] Speaker B: Yes. So I hope you all enjoyed our little yapping. We finally met up. We talked about the new patch. We talked about some state of play. And I'm assuming next episode we will talk about all the amazing. This can only go on to like. Sorry, [01:04:28] Speaker A: what? Okay. [01:04:30] Speaker B: Shout out to anyone that heard that on the pod. I had a tab open and a random twitch stream just started playing and I was like, what is that noise? [01:04:38] Speaker A: I did not hear that. [01:04:40] Speaker B: No, you wouldn't hear it. [01:04:41] Speaker A: Heard it. The. [01:04:41] Speaker B: The listeners definitely did. I apologize. But okay, we will talk about. We will talk about also the Summer Games Fest releases that are announced in the next episode. [01:04:53] Speaker A: So we might also have more guests. We have some guests that we want to talk to. [01:04:57] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:04:58] Speaker A: That have also maybe said that they want to be on a pod. So especially right now, I think when wow is a little slow, I think it would be great to have some more guests in that we can talk about wow and how they got into wow. I always love these little talks. [01:05:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:05:08] Speaker A: Yeah. So we're not going anywhere. [01:05:11] Speaker B: No, we're not going anywhere. Listen. Wow.
